This is the poster for Armed Forces Day, the event that has replaced the Littlehampton Regatta http://tweetphoto.com/24556201

The artwork looks like something you'd expect to see for a school event, but by now you know my views on the quality of Littlehampton's marketing.

I'm at a loss to understand the events' relevance to this town and why anyone could think it's a better idea than putting on a regatta.

This just sounds very dated and very dull.

They say bring a chair.  I say bring a book, too.

What do you think?

Gary, it actually sounds like it could be a good day out with lots to see and do.   The poster is, in my opinion, perfectly adequate and serves the purpose it is intended for, which is to alert locals to an event.

I do agree however that instead of replacing the regatta, they could easily have held it another week, after all, we need all the visitors we can get!

The signs aren't good for Armed Forces Day.

Check out these illegible banners which just went up http://tweetphoto.com/27654211 and http://tweetphoto.com/27654854

Who creates signs that not only have zero impact, but can't even be read when you're driving past them?
