yes... i too can confirm that when i have taken visitors down to west beach lately... and shown them the visitor centre it has been closed... as have the toilets... it seems ridiculous... it is now the summer holidays!

there should be nature trails and sheets available for kids to tick stuff off there, competitions being run, activities, displays etc... or at the very least it should be open at the times stated... such a shame.
it is bad enough that the exterior aesthetics and interior content is so poor, to not be open and not be educational and not be fun/interesting/engaging is even worse! it would be forgivable if the toilet block style building actually was the hub for generating lots of interest and respect for the environment.
