Last night some 30 square metres of sand dunes at West Beach were destroyed by fire.

Thought to have been started accidentally, the fire destroyed a large section of the grasslands on one side of the path down to the beach.

It's a real tragedy that such a beautiful area has been blighted (presumably by someone's carelessness)

Yes, that is a shame but hopefully the grass will grow back.

It probably needed the fire to get rid of the tons of dog $hit that was there. That area has to be one of the worst in LA, covered in it!!
