Hunnies Cafe & Bar... open 6 days a week, free wifi in both the cafe and bar area. During the day in the cafe we have daily specials on food, homemade cakes, all food is fresh and locally sourced, prepared and cooked on the premises by two qualified chefs. In Hunnies bar around the side, we have great offers on food and drink.. Light entertainment throughout the week, from quizes, local bands, solo artists and Karaoke's..
Family run business, lovely nice relaxed atmosphere with sensible drinkers..

Went past Hunnies on Saturday...offering a bottle of beer with a full English. Is this an ongoing thing? I may have to check it out, as apparently the breakfasts there are very good. I also saw that the Harvester do breakfasts as well...I bet they don't offer beer with theirs!

We love the Hunnies breakfasts, it is our Bank Holiday treat every bank holiday. My husband is a veggie and they do a great veggie breakfast. The kids love it too. We haven't tried the beer offer though!

I was in there last week, after dodging the charity muggers in the street, I enjoyed another delicious breakfast.

Thanks Andrew,

Do you know if they open on Sundays?
In this post they say that they open 7 days a week, but on their door they say "Sunday: Closed" (I noticed today).

I would really love to give the Breakfast and Beer a go tomorrow  Wink

They don't open on Sunday except for the monthly Ukulele Jam which is tomorrow. But then they only serve chips. So sorry, if you want the breakfast you'll have to go in the week!

But you must make time for "lunch"?

Sadly Hunnies is to close in a couple of months so you had better try it out before you miss your chance!

That's sad news  Angry
Another good business to close down in LA.
Why are they going? Another credit crunch victim?

I have lunch and work at the same time. Never close the shop for lunch I'm afraid!

I Might try the Breakfast tomorrow as I'm going to be shut to the public in order to catch up with my computer repairs.

As I understand it the landlord has sold the lease to a sandwich chain. Sad but that's the way it goes I suppose. I don't think there is another cafe in the town centre that is anything like as good.
